Kenny graduated with an engineering degree and a master’s degree in technology management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His professional qualifications in Financial planning include Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and Shariah Registered Financial Planner (Shariah RFP).

Kenny Tan has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial planning industry. As the Business Development Director in VKA, he assumes a leadership role in building a dedicateed team of financial planners to serve individuals and corporations. His passion is to help people improve their finances regardless of market conditions. He strongly believes that everyone needs a financial plan to achieve their life goals and deserve a better lifestyle.

As a licensed financial planner, he provides unbiased & viable solutions related to their financial planning matters that can meet their needs, budget and cost saving. Throughout his career, he has qualified for many accreditations and awards including Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).

Kenny Tan has been the first founding member of BNI Winners since February 2004 till now. During his 21 years in this referral business platform, he has held various leadership roles including President for many terms. Now BNI Winners chapter is the one of the performing BNI chapter in Malaysia in terms of its business value and number of referrals.

As a part of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Kenny took up the challenge to be the founding chairman of Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) Johor Chapter in 2015. As the president (from year 2015 till now), he has been helping MFPC to promote financial literacy to many Malaysians, in particularly Anak Johor through seminars and workshops.

Kenny believes in continuous self-improvement and development, which is why he learnt and qualified himself as a MFPC Certified Trainer and HRDC Trainer.

He has been inviting to share various financial topics by corporations, non-profit organisations, colleges and universities. He has also been contributing articles on financial matters to the publications.

To serve the community more effectively, he founded a new Lions Club of Johor Bahru Premier on 26 February 2020. As the Charter President and Lions member, he works together with members to serve the community in 8 key global causes of Childhood Cancer, Diabetes, Disaster Relief, Environment, Humanitarian efforts, Hunger, Vision (sight), and Youth.
